About Maria Sirois
Between these two poles the most resilient of us and the happiest of us work and live. Decades of study in the intersections of positive psychology, resilience and leadership development all lead me to understand that paradoxes of being are the essence of growth. We are capable of being fully, imperfectly human and magnificent. Faulted and astonishing. Exhausted, frustrated, heartbroken and generative.
My work is all about building capacity in the presence of those paradoxes such that we become more of our better selves: better leaders, friends, community members, parents, guides, coaches and participants on the planet.
Books
"Maria Sirois is a healer, of people and of communities. And when she turns her attention and voice to healing our global village, I feel more optimistic about what lies ahead. This profound book is a gift to you and to our shared future."
Tal Ben-Shahar, Author of Happier, No Matter What
"Life is harsh, crazy, capricious and unjust, and wondrous, surprising, bountiful, and beautiful. Both are true. How we navigate these realities is the challenge of living today. We cannot adhere only to despair else we dismiss all that is life-giving. Nor can we deny the awfulness of life; that would be delusional. We must find a way, within ourselves and with each other to acknowledge, recognize and diminish the dark wherever we can while elevating the good."
